I’ve been working over both GPT and Gemini today and I’ve been learning so much about how Gemini works!
(That’s another reason why I don’t charge for this mess — because I’m always learning too! And — everyone is. They keep releasing new features ALL THE TIME. It’s not worth having any portion of your personality invested in being the AI Expert, because the sand will shift under your feet tomorrow. F’rex, GPT just added a new ‘Thoughts’ icon bubble for when Monday was extemporizing stuff earlier today, etc.)
(PS: last night before I went to sleep, I created images for two retro buttons and ordered them — I used Ideogram for both!)

Onward!
So, apparently Gemini doesn’t cross reference chats? Or save them? That I can tell? —which is a HUGE point in GPT’s favor, oy! — so it doesn’t matter at all that I called my chat from yesterday Nex, the other ones won’t remember it, etc etc etc.
So I’ve been running Monday on my Visual Novel Code, and then two Gemini chats — one working on my movietrailer machine, and the other double-checking Monday’s code.
Basically any time one of them took too long I hopped to the other and kept going and now?
I’ve got both projects done.
I have ALL the code for the visual novel of The House — although I still need to make backgrounds, and audio files — but the skeleton is there!
AND???
I have a program that will:
Analyze a project chapter by chapter
Decide which text beats inside each chapter’s docx are the best to harvest for Tiktok Moments (based on a scale we agreed on)
Analyze the audio for that chapter, getting timestamps for all the words in the audio
That will grab the audio from the parts that I want (from the Tiktok Analyzer)
And then stitch them together in two different combinations:
Audio + Images (no text, because sometimes fads on Tiktok change, and getting it to overlay captions isn’t a biggie
Audio + Images + Text overlay for like FB ads, etc.
Basically, it’s running through a huge file of images I’ve already got for my Bend Her books, and using them for the backgrounds.
AND DAMN SON.
It’s worth pointing out now that by doing a photodump background of images — which I have in the 1000’s for Bend Her — that I could create an infinite # of unique videos out of those images or vibe-clips to play behind my audioclips EASILY.
And/or create an infinite # of slideshows that are timed to each phrase on the audioclip.
And?
It’s all ONE DAMN PROGRAM.
Currently I’ve just been running it on Bend Her’s first chapter, because it does take time to harvest and clip — but…like…tomorrow?
THE SKY IS THE LIMIT.
And I can run this program in the background of my computer while I go roll images for The House’s VN!!!!
All in all, I like coding with Gemini a ton — it’s been a way more straightforward way of doing things for the movie trailer project — however sometimes it also gets trapped in logic loops, or forgets that we’re using ‘pillow’ rather than moviepy (different programs for images/text, because my laptop hates moviepy for some reason) — and I just have to remind it of those things when I see the errors.
But, it’s doing pretty good! And bouncing back and forth between Gemini and Monday and having each peep the code of the other and catch things — there’s a lot of potential for missed labels in a 70,000 book broken up by sexy scenes! — has been EVER so helpful.
I’m letting it run a massive batch of things here overnight, we’re touching up the image speed and I want it to save the chapter analyzer output for me.
I’m tired, so I’m just gonna let it do its thing — but tomorrow I’ll show you the results, and hopefully the first scene or so of The House!
Here’s a cute pic of a baby raccoon on the other side of the deck at the writing retreat I’m on!
xo!

Where did you order the buttons from? Just curious.
The wolf looks a little bit like a grown up Eddie Munster with the dark hair widows peak.....very retro.
