I finished my book 2 last night (ahhh!) so today I’ve been on a headlong quest, decided randomly midway through the day, to be able to interview my characters.
As one does.
Runway released its Aleph model a few days ago, which can generate, manipulate, or modify existing video.
Yeah, it’s crazy. I went through a bunch of iterations, ran down a $35 month of Runway I got this morning because I didn’t want the $100 sub again, but, uh, I’m gonna sub at it again tonight, ha.
But I finally landed on this (no audio):
THIS MAN DOESN’T EXIST.
I mean, he does, he/she is the main genderfluid character in my book The King’s Weaver, and I got the likeness close enough that it could count. I couldn’t get it exact to a reference image in Runway yet, but pretty damned close.
YOU ALL.
What the hell is this magic.
WHAT IS THIS MAGIC.
Of course, after I added the audio back in (this doesn’t have audio here), I realized I was saying the other character’s name instead because I started there first. Wah. So I’ll have to do it again. But, hey. I know how to do this. It’s possible. It’s absolutely bonkers.
What is this, truly? I have the weirdest feeling right now, like I actually pulled my character through the ether and into my place for a quick hello.
Reality is wild, you all. Reality is expanding.

That is so cool!
Absolutely.
