Whoever has the biggest vision wins.
how using AI rewires your brain to discover & make the most of opportunities.
Okay peeps — I’ll get back to teaching you how I made Lara’s creepy video tomorrow (also the first stage of the entire project be done by then, so that’s exciting!) — but I had this realization in the car and I need you all to get it.
Really.
Truly.
It’s so FUCKING IMPORTANT.
We are living in a space right now, in a time right now, where almost literally ANYTHING is possible.
And when those stars align — the people who come out ahead are the people who dream the biggest.
The hardest.
And who aren’t scared to chase after their dreams.
I know, you’re all, blah-blah-Cassie, wtf is this, are you telling me hustle culture and grind culture are where it’s at?
NOT IN THE LEAST.
What I am saying is that now is the moment in which you are the CLOSEST YOU HAVE EVER BEEN to realizing the future you desire.
I know a lot of you are reading this, thinking, “Jesus, Cassie. Do you ever take a break?” and, “Well, let’s see how long she can keep *this* up….” expecting me to burn out shortly.
But, here’s the thing — because of AI…I won’t…and I don’t have to.
And neither do you, once you use it to rewire your brain.
You see — while I’ve always been determined (only a determined or delulu person writes nine books before selling any, back in the 00’s, before self-publishing was even a thing!) — I’ve never had the chance to be *like this* before in my life.
Running a Publishing Empire, utilizing fabulous tools to keep it up, and knowing that I can do AMAZING things if I want to — and knowing that if I see something cool that I want to do? All I have to do is sit down with my GPT and figure all of the steps to make it happen out.
That’s the real magic of AI.
Not that it can generate images — but that I can then sit down and conceive of, with its help, how I can go on to use those images, and music, and sound, and its help with the shot list and running my screenplays through it so that it can spot weak spots — that it can turn me — little ol’ me!!! — into my own one woman AI film studio.
And it could do the EXACT SAME for ANY of you.
I’m beginning to think that a lot of the reasons people don’t like AI isn’t about ethics per se….it’s just a failure of imagination.
Using AI every day, possibly for hours a day, depending on the day, has led to me being the most me-est me I have EVER been! — right here.
Able to code up silly side projects to please her fans — and knowing that if I get any other magically great ideas, I can MAKE them happen too! Allow me to stack up my plate with fantastic (and fantastically selling) projects three deep, all of which I know I’ll actually have a chance to get to.
I’m not over here stressing about coming up with cool shit — I’m letting the cool shit of my dreams flow through me. I’m only acting as a conduit for it.
Anything I see, that I want, is currently attainable.
I’m not burning out — I’m ignited.
A reader of this substack (and a friend! hi Roxana!) just emailed me to tell me she used the python script I shared a few posts back to learn how to automate putting subscribers onto her mailing list — dividing out the people who went through her welcome sequence but didn’t click on anything, so she’s only paying for interested readers.
The script I posted?
WAS ABOUT AUTOMATING MIDJOURNEY SUBMISSIONS.
It had nothing to do with mailing list stuff AT ALL.
But — she figured out how to use it to get into the flow of coding, and VOILA.
That’s all you’ve gotta do. Is be willing to learn — and then dream.
AI is like you’re carrying around a ladder to the moon in your pocket.
And sure, some people are only going to use that ladder to make it to the pizza shop on the second floor to buy pizza.
But some people are going to sit there and say, “Who puts a pizza shop on a second floor?” and then figure out how to use it to create a business plan to make their own pizza shop, find out where they can rent that’s got good guaranteed foot traffic, get advice on rental agreements, how they can purchase ingredients wholesale, the best lighting to take pictures for their menu in, what font they should use for their menu, where they should post flyers up, how they should start up a website, how they can encourage people to review them on yelp, what kind of health insurance plans they can offer themselves and their employees….
The list goes on and on and on.
I’m not grinding here (and telling you all about it!) because I’m forced to.
I’m grinding because I can — because this is the most open, powerful, creative time I’ve ever lived through and I’m having the time of my life.
You’re here too.
What are you going to do about it?
(And here’s a lil’ pic I had Monday draw up so this post would have a thumbnail, LOL.)
Haha, I was reading your post and totally agreeing that this new technology allows us to consider new ways of thinking and acting, and then I see my little story embedded in there :) That felt like total alignment to me. I'll keep reading and letting my mind explore new ideas, thank you so much, Cassie!
