Hooboy! I thought about this a lot, and it's hard to say, bc whatever goals I have may be different from other people's? I do wish I'd started outsorcing all this image sorting stuff from the jump, but I wouldn't have been able to explain any of it till I spent a month of my life in the trenches with it personally.
I don't think I missed any shortcuts along the way -- I definitely didn't do everything right, but when I was screwing up, I generally couldn't have afforded to have done it differently, so, sorry, this is the world's least interesting answer!
LOL I hear you. It's an interesting path this one. I don't see myself going into film, but you never know. A year ago I didn't see myself building an app or a game either, and here we are. I love that the sky's the limit now.
